How dynasty trade values work

Dynasty trade values put every player and draft pick on one number scale based on long-term worth. Add up each side, discount extra pieces (the best player in a deal matters most), and a gap under about 5% is a fair trade.

Where our values come from

DynastyMath blends four free sources into one composite value: expert consensus (DynastyProcess), two draft markets (Sleeper and Fantasy Football Calculator dynasty ADP) and on-field production (nflverse). Rookie picks use DynastyProcess values. The full method, weights and licenses are on how our values work.

Side value = best asset × 1.00 + 2nd × 0.75 + 3rd × 0.55 + 4th × 0.40 + 5th × 0.30 + rest × 0.25 Fair if |A − B| ÷ max(A, B) ≤ 5%

Why 2-for-1s are discounted

Roster spots are limited and starters score the points. Two good players rarely equal one great one, so extra pieces count for less. That is why the calculator might say a 3-for-1 that “adds up” still favors the side getting the star.

FAQ

What is a fair dynasty trade?

One where the two sides are within about 5% after discounting extra pieces. Your team context (contending or rebuilding) can justify going outside that range.

Are dynasty values the same in superflex?

No. Quarterbacks are worth much more in superflex because you can start two. Use superflex values for 2QB and SF leagues.
