Most leagues close trades somewhere in the middle of the season, so the weeks before your deadline are when a dynasty roster gets rebuilt or locked in. A player is a buy-low when the dynasty draft market prices him at least 35% below the expert consensus, and a sell-high when it prices him at least 35% above, for players valued at 1,000 or more. As of Oct 20, 2026, that is 26 buys and 33 sells. Here are the eight most valuable of each, what their production says, and six trades the calculator rates as fair. Values as of Oct 20, 2026.

How to read a flag

Each value blends four inputs on a 0 to 10,000 scale: DynastyProcess expert consensus (40% weight), Sleeper dynasty ADP (30%), Fantasy Football Calculator ADP (15%) and nflverse production (15%). Fantasy Football Calculator had no dynasty data today, so the other three share its weight. Experts is the expert value, Draft market is Sleeper ADP on the same scale, and Gap is how far the market sits from the experts. A flag is a nudge to look closer, not a trade order. 4 of the 15 most valuable buy flags are listed Out. That matters: a cheap market price on an injured player can just be the market pricing the injury. Treat those two groups differently.

Healthy buys. Malik Nabers is the cleanest case. The experts value him at 7,920 and the draft market at 4,279, a 46% discount, yet he is WR12 by composite at age 23 and has scored 26.9 PPR points per game over his last three, against 17.1 for the season. Ashton Jeanty is RB6 by composite (6,292) with a 66% gap, the largest discount of any buy flag in the top 20 assets, and averages 16.7 PPR points per game at age 22. George Pickens (4,000, 13.6 PPG, 16.9 over his last three) and Emeka Egbuka (3,781, 11.9 PPG) are the next two WR buys.

A falling price. Chase Brown is RB14 at 3,396, but his value is down 871 points (20.4%) since Oct 14, the biggest drop among the buy-flagged backs in the top 50. His Week 7 projection is 14.9 PPR points against a season average of 13. A falling price with a rising projection is the shape many buyers look for, though the numbers can't tell you why the price moved.

Buys with a medical caveat. Breece Hall (RB10, 4,496) and Jeremiyah Love (RB11, 4,147) are both listed Out. The expert-versus-market gaps are -63% and -96%, and Jeremiyah Love is a 21-year-old rookie. How long either will miss isn't listed, so check the news before you offer.

Eight sell-high candidates

Derrick Henry (BAL)RB13 / 321,7856,687+275%3,401+374 (+12.4%)Active

Cashing in on production. These are not bad players. Zay Flowers averages 18.9 PPR points per game and his composite is up 1,024 points (16.8%) since Oct 14, to 7,109. The experts sit at 5,249 and the market at 9,184. Selling here is a bet that a price that has risen 16.8% in six days is more likely to fall back than keep climbing, not a claim that he will stop scoring. Christian Watson is the same story at 6,535: 19.8 PPG at age 27, but the experts value him at 3,913 against a market price of 8,866.

Running backs on the wrong side of the market. Kyren Williams (5,829, RB7) is a +161% gap, with experts at 3,190 and the market at 8,340, while scoring 22 PPR points per game over his last three. Christian McCaffrey is 30, with a 4,259 expert value against a 7,846 market. Derrick Henry is the age extreme: 32 years old, 19.5 PPG, experts at 1,785 and the market at 6,687. His gap, +275%, is second only to Matthew Golden's (+321%) among the eight sells; for a contender he is a useful player, but the draft market is paying a price the experts are not.

Six trades that are fair on paper

These pair a sell-high with a buy-low and fall inside the calculator's fair range, within 5% after its depth discount (the best piece counts in full, the second at 75%).

"On paper" matters. Values don't know your roster, your scoring or whether the other manager agrees with the market. Run your own version in the dynasty trade analyzer, which also suggests a piece to even out an uneven deal.

A short deadline checklist

  1. Check the format. These flags use 1QB composite values. In superflex the quarterbacks move: Caleb Williams is 2,998 in 1QB but 6,450 in superflex.
  2. Check the status column before you pay for a discounted player, and check news on the day.
  3. Prefer gaps that production backs up. Malik Nabers and Ashton Jeanty combine a big discount with solid scoring; a discount on a player who is not scoring needs a reason.
  4. Remember depth. A two-for-one that looks even on paper costs you a roster spot; the calculator's discount exists for that reason.
  5. Re-check before the deadline. The buy-low and sell-high page and risers and fallers refresh every morning. This article is fixed at Oct 20.
