Everybody adds the same names every week. Most of them do nothing for you on Sunday. So here is the cut: take the 25 most-added players on Sleeper in the last 24 hours and check each one against his Week 8 projection, his projection for the next three weeks, his season PPG and his last three games. Scoring is PPR. Values and adds as of Oct 26, 2026.
The rule is simple. Projection-backed means a Week 8 projection of 9 points or more. Hype means a projection under 6, or no projection at all. Everything in between is depth. All 25 are healthy with no status tag.
The adds the projections back
| Player | Pos / team | Adds 24h | Adds 72h | Week 8 proj | Next 3 wks | Season PPG | Last 3 PPG |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyler Murray | QB / MIN | 104K | 257K | 18.4 | 51 (3 wk) | 11.1 | 14.5 |
| Kirk Cousins | QB / LV | 72K | 138K | 17.5 | 49.7 (3 wk) | 19.5 | 17.5 |
| Bo Nix | QB / DEN | 82K | 180K | 14.6 | 29.8 (2 wk) | 14.1 | 12.9 |
| Chris Godwin Jr. | WR / TB | 104K | 460K | 10.4 | 21.1 (2 wk) | 7.6 | 7.1 |
| Tre Tucker | WR / LV | 92K | 168K | 9.7 | 28.1 (3 wk) | 14.3 | 18.5 |
| Omar Cooper Jr. | WR / NYJ | 134K | 208K | 9.6 | 27.8 (3 wk) | 16.3 | 16.3 |
| Xavier Worthy | WR / KC | 98K | 232K | 9.2 | 30 (3 wk) | 8.6 | 9.8 |
| KC Concepcion Jr. | WR / CLE | 235K | 341K | 9.1 | 27.9 (3 wk) | 9 | 10.9 |
"Next 3 wks" is the sum of the projections we have, and the number in parentheses is how many weeks that covers.
Quarterbacks. All 3 quarterbacks on the list are backed. That is a lot of quarterback traffic. Kyler Murray is the top projection on the list at 18.4, against 11.1 PPG for the season over 5 games. His next-three sum, 51, is the biggest of the 8. Kirk Cousins is projected at 17.5 and is averaging 19.5 PPG, age 38. Bo Nix is at 14.6, but only 2 weeks of his next three have a projection. In a one-quarterback league you need one of these, not three.
Skill players. Chris Godwin Jr. is the top-projected non-quarterback on the list at 10.4. Tre Tucker (9.7 projected) is averaging 18.5 over his last three. Xavier Worthy is at 9.2. KC Concepcion Jr. is the most-added of the 8 at 235K in 24 hours, a rookie projected for 9.1 with 7 games played. Omar Cooper Jr. (134K adds) is also here and is covered in our dynasty risers and fallers piece.
The hype: big adds, tiny projections
| Player | Pos / team | Adds 24h | Adds 72h | Week 8 proj | Next 3 wks | Season PPG | Last 3 PPG |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Darius Cooper | WR / PHI | 774K | 1.11M | 2.9 | 5.6 (2 wk) | 7.7 | 11.8 |
| Seth McGowan | RB / IND | 467K | 1.36M | 2.9 | 9.7 (3 wk) | 2.7 | 3.8 |
| Kaelon Black | RB / SF | 257K | 285K | — | 11.4 (2 wk) | 4.4 | 5.7 |
| Justice Hill | RB / BAL | 133K | 303K | 5.8 | 18.1 (3 wk) | 5.1 | 6.7 |
| Konata Mumpfield | WR / LAR | 131K | 808K | 4.5 | 14.4 (3 wk) | 4.2 | 2.6 |
| Makai Lemon | WR / PHI | 127K | 224K | 5.9 | 11.2 (2 wk) | 5 | 6.6 |
| Dameon Pierce | RB / PHI | 99K | 162K | 3.6 | 5.8 (2 wk) | 9.1 | 9.1 |
| Zonovan Knight | RB / ARI | 84K | 247K | 5.4 | 7.9 (3 wk) | 3.5 | 7.3 |
| Tank Dell | WR / HOU | 69K | 132K | — | 5 (2 wk) | 5.5 | 5.5 |
Those 9 players pulled 2.14M adds in 24 hours. The 8 backed players pulled 921K.
Three names say it loudest. Darius Cooper is the most-added player on the whole list, 774K adds in 24 hours and 1.11M in 72, with a 2.9 projection. Seth McGowan has the same 2.9 projection and the biggest 72-hour add total on the list, 1.36M. Dameon Pierce is at 3.6 with 2 games played.
Missing projections. Kaelon Black and Tank Dell have no Week 8 projection in our data. We won't guess. Kaelon Black is averaging 4.4 PPG over 7 games and Tank Dell has played 1 game.
The bait is the add count. Konata Mumpfield has 131K adds, a 4.5 projection and 2.6 PPG over his last three. Makai Lemon is projected at 5.9. A big add count is not a projection.
The middle: depth, not a plan
8 more are projected between 6 and 9 points, with 1.02M adds between them. Tyler Higbee has the most 72-hour adds in this group, 675K, at 8.5 projected, and Ryan Flournoy sits at the same 8.5. Emanuel Wilson is at 8. Kyle Pitts Sr. has the biggest jump in scoring of the group, 17.1 PPG over his last three against 9 for the season, and an 8.4 projection. Braelon Allen is also hot, 16.8 over his last three against 10.9, with a 7.4 projection. Tyler Allgeier (7.8), Michael Mayer (7.6) and Caleb Douglas (6.9) round it out. Add one if you have a hole and nobody better.
The adds by position
| Pos | On the list | Backed | Hype | Adds 24h | Top projection |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QB | 3 | 3 | 0 | 258K | Kyler Murray (18.4) |
| RB | 8 | 0 | 5 | 1.37M | Emanuel Wilson (8) |
| WR | 11 | 5 | 4 | 2.11M | Chris Godwin Jr. (10.4) |
| TE | 3 | 0 | 0 | 348K | Tyler Higbee (8.5) |
Wide receivers lead the list in volume: 11 of the 25 and 2.11M of the 4.09M adds. Running backs are the opposite story. 8 running backs made the list and none is backed. The best RB projection is Emanuel Wilson at 8. If you need a back, you are choosing depth, not a starter. The tight end group is the same: the best projection is Tyler Higbee at 8.5.
How to use this
- Open with the backed list. If one fits your roster hole, bid on him.
- Match the add to your need. A second quarterback does nothing in a one-quarterback league.
- Skip anyone whose projection is under 6. A heavy add count with a low projection is the pattern to avoid.
- Check status on Sunday. These numbers are from Monday. A status change beats them.
- Rank the rest. The full Week 8 waiver wire and the trending adds page update daily. The waiver wire tool sorts it against your own roster.
